The Location

Kiten is situated in one of the renowned corners of the South Black Sea coast neighbouring the Strandzha National Park. Inhabited by the Thracians in ancient times Strandzha is a region with a large concentration of ruins of Thracian sanctuaries and sacrificial altars and other archaeological objects.

The fishing town is located some 55km to the city of Bourgas, 60km away from Burgas International Airport, just 5km away to the resort of Primorsko and 12km to the resort of Tsarevo.

In 1962 the village obtained the status of a Natural Resort. The former International Youth Centre, Primorsko and South Primorsko, witch are among the largest beaches of the Black Sea coast to the south of Bourgas, are located nearby.

Thanks to its unique combination of spectacular beaches and charming woodlands the Southern Black Sea coast offers excellent opportunities for both sea and ecological tourism. It is a fact that the roots of the unique pagan customs have been preserved and mixed in the course of time with the Eastern Orthodox traditions resulting in the “Nestinari” dances on the fire in the honour of Saints Constantine and Helen in the village of Bulgari only. The summers here are warm and last  from May until October.

Kiten offers diverse array of water sports like water skiing, yachting, underwater- fishing, water diving, horse-riding, etc. Tourist can enjoy the abundance of local restaurants, taverns and bars.
